New Jersey Coastal Resilience Collaborative
The New Jersey Coastal Resilience Collaborative (NJCRC) is a network established to foster sustainable and resilient coastal communities and ecosystems by generating informed action. NJCRS builds partnerships by bringing stakeholders and interested parties from all sectors to the table to optimize expertise, and to integrate all elements related to coastal resilience by making resilience a priority, working directly with communities to raise awareness, identify challenges and build support for addressing them and implementing beneficial solutions. Partners share information within the network and with the public by using continuous and open communication to learn and leverage from other’s successes and failures, to avoid duplication and to improve and enhance resiliency among coastal communities. The goal of NJCRC is to Inform decision-making to foster action through the development of science, tools, and data; by using common and consistent messages, promoting best practices and providing accessible education and training.

The Waterfront Alliance
After more than a decade of leading the charge in how the New York metropolitan region views and uses its harbor, and with more than 1,000 Alliance Partners committed to bringing real change to our region’s 700+ miles of coastline, in 2019 the Waterfront Alliance stepped into a new and critical leadership role to define New York Harbor’s response to sea level rise and coastal storms. Their crucial, long-term focus on increasing waterfront accessibility for all, along with efforts to advocate for a working waterfront that is a vital source of business activity and well-paying jobs and educating the next generation of waterfront stewards, continue as essential pillars of their work to create a well-adapted and resilient New York Harbor.
